My sprite is going crazy!

There is no graphics section so ill just ask here. I am making a mortal kombat game for my VB class. I am trying to get all my sprites to gether, but i am running into a wall. I put some sprites together with Microsoft Gif Anamator, and this is what i get below. Not what i wanted. So i am very new to this, and was wondering if there was a way i could fix this, or is there another program that will be better for a beginer like me?

Yeah i got it to work lol. Well this is my first working sprite. Any suggestions on making anamated sprites? or just making graphics like this in general?

why is the guy moving slowly? (or is it just my dial-up?)
maybe u should make the delay time between each frame less..?
i dunno, i never used Microsoft GIF animator b4..
