my stupidity has outdone me again!!!!

I just got one of those microsoft wireless mouse and a keyboard combo with a finger print reader built into the keyboard!! Cool, right...well kinda!! Stupid me didn't stop to think that this would only work with IE!!

It's actually really cool and convenient, but I'm exclusively a Firefox user!! So the finger print gizmo is pretty much useless!! Thank god the keyboard and the mouse are nice!!

Don't suppose anybody has come up with a work around for this!! I know, I know...my imagination is getting away from me again!!

Hmmm check for firefox plugins and addons, there could be something.
When they release the next version, it could work for that

Does it work for any other programs, like logging on etc?

 

Some of the work comps I use the ol' thumb I.D, and auto-password change every few minutes, via 'Smart-Card'. ;

Yeah, I know that feeling well. When I go into Head Office, you get stuck in the outer foyer cell by Security, if you don't wear the 'Dog Tag' with your pretty I.D pic., and Smart Card showing, even though they know full-well who you are. That being a P.I.T.A. is an understatement!

(The foyer 'cell' is just the room between the outer doors and the inner. Ironically - the stoopid computer won't let you into the next door, or out again, which means you're just crud out of luck if you've left it home, or in the car). I've only done it once, but nearly every day someone gets stuck in the "no man's land" and has to wait for Security to push their button and open the outer doors again, usually one of the Boss', LoL.
