My gateway windows xp laptop won't start in normal mode.
I tried starting it again but it had these red dotted lines then the Windows logo shows up and then there are these green dotted lines on it then it goes berserk with that snowy things like on a broken tv and then it's just black. It starts on safe mode and I have done a system restore before it happened but nothing I have scanned ma'am in safe mode and nothing showed I have run ccleaner clerked temp and prefetch but nothing please help!!!!!!!

Try going to the F8 menu and instead of choosing safe mode choose VGA mode (or low resolution mode). This will start up normally but at very low resolution.

If it loads up then right click on a blank area of the desktop and select Properties. In the Display properties window that opens can you increase the screen resolution?
