My Xmas Gift Undocumented "feature"

i wanted and got a jacket, with inside pockets, for christmas.
inside pockets are most useful, and i carry all kinds of stuff in them.

i went to use my jacket today, put stuff in the inside pockets,
and discovered an undocumented feature of this jacket...

the inside jacket has a rather large hole at the bottom of the pocket.
both left and right inside pockets have this hole at the bottom...
and if you look at how the pockets were sewn, it was done on purpose.

why, i don't know, do people find this useful, somehow??
this baffles my mind, but i guess there is a need for it ??

anyway, who would have thunk it...

 

Secret pockets? Or maybe, tailor didn't finish sewing jacket seams?

 

Put phone in and wired earbuds come out hole in bottom?

 

Flip the bird without removing your hand from the pocket?

well, i emailed the manufacturer, curious about this undocumented feature, and heard back from them.
it turns out that my jacket is really a hoodie, and the only pockets are outside pockets.
they said the inside design and stitching is correct, and apologized for confusing me,
but, they did not mention how people use this inside pocket tube thingy... oh well.
and crikey, i'm too old for hoodies, so i'll keep calling it a jacket.

 

Perhaps the hole is for "the silencer". lol

 

I'm curious, was it marketed to have inside pockets? Being crafty I would be trying to figure out how to sew up the hole at the bottom to make useful pockets.

 

I know, it's to leave a trail of crumbs when you are kidnapped in your hoodie!

 

since it's a "hoodie" [ though there is no hood that covers the head, just a normal collar ]
the company ( 32degress cool ) said there are only outside pockets. the inside is weird, in the sense
that the tube pocket thingy starts at a normal height, chest high, and the tube pocket ends at the bottom of the jacket, so it's actually very long, a good 12 inches, but it was sewn open at the bottom. and there are two of them, one on each side. why? who knows, since it was by their design, there is a purpose, they just didn't tell me. it's a nice jacket, and the bottom holes have been sewn closed. truth is stranger than fiction.
