MyIE2 for Firefox ?

After reading this:

I was wondering if anyone could help me to get it to work with Firefox ?
It would seem that Mozilla doesn't respond when Firefox is present. At least not on my poor old Win98SE. I've uninstalled Mozilla to avoid conflicts & kept Firefox of course!
This fix for MyIE2 for Mozilla should work with Firefox no ?

 

Who knows until you try?
Back up as usual, save a copy of your registry (a tiny registry backup utility for W98SE is available HERE if you need one), and TRY IT!

If it doesn't work, UNDO it.

The reason you were having probs getting Mozilla to work once you had installed Firefox is that Mozilla no longer had a unique Profile of its own. Firefox took over the profile Mozilla had built.

If you had created a new Profile for Mozilla, it would have continued to work fine. If you're still USING the Profile (with Firefox) that you were using with Mozilla, it wd be a VERY GOOD idea to create a NEW profile for Firefox, and then go back and delete the old Profile and all of its files (after you save your bookmarks and cookies, etc.).

 

You were right Wisewiz,
have reinstalled Mozilla in it's own folder and everything works fine.
I remember now, that for some strange reason, Firefox was installed the first time in the Program Files section instead of the usual "unzipped" one.

Also, MyIE2 now also works fine with Gecko based option.
