MyIE2 + MG = error msg

I get this error occasionally in MyIE2 clicking on any link on the MG front page, and sometimes on other sites as well. When I click OK it hangs the tab. Anybody else ever see this? If I close MyIE2 then open it again it fixes it for awhile, then eventually it happens again. I'm running ver 0.9.11 -- should I update to the latest version?

I upgraded to 0.9.13 2 or 3 days ago and the error is still occurring

 

That's a good suggestion, Nick. I'm not opposed to trying that, however I do have it fairly well customized, so I would need to be able to backup my settings and then restore them to the new installation. I don't know whether they're in the registry or a configuration file(s). Guess I'll have to investigate how to go about doing that. Any ideas?

 

So, it's not just my installation. Hmmmm, makes me wonder if I (we) should try rolling back to a pre-0.9.11 version...

Some users have experienced this problem regardless of the version of MyIE2, but it seems to be more common with 9.10 and later. A few "resolved" the issue by rolling back to 8.xxxx versions.

No real fix is offered, but the workaround recommendation is:
1. Do not use a skin -- Tools > Select Skin > None
2. Disable IE Plugin Support -- Options > MyIE2 Options > Advanced > UNcheck "Enable IE Plugin Support," > restart MyIE2
Apparently IE plugins such as Yahoo Toolbar and Google Toolbar (I am using v. 2) can contribute to this issue.

I'll post back whether or not this worked for me.

Gonna try v. 9.16 Lite

 

I haven't resorted to that yet, but I will if 9.16 still has the problem. Just installed it last night. Usually takes a day or two (at least on my machine) for the error to show up.
