Tough keeping the shuttle in the cross-hairs. :)

Heard something disturbing this morning Star. Supposedly the fuel tank foam prior to about the mid '90s used freon, which EPA hates, and did NOT have the problems with separation that the newer EPA friendly mix has. If that's the case, please have somebody strongly suggest up the chain that they get a critical use exemption and go back to what worked. I'd hate to think that the EPA killed the Columbia crew, but it could sure be looked at that way if that's the case.

And two irreplaceable shuttles. Not minimizing in any way the loss of the people aboard.

I heard about the asbestos filled putty too, but that doesn't seem to be the most pressing current problem. If you simply listed all the damage that EPA policies have caused our country over the years, it would make one hell of a book.

Before asbestos was demonized and banned, I worked with asbestos felted sheets daily for about 8 years. No masks, or gloves, or anything. Tap it with a finger and clouds of asbestos dust floated off of it. According to the EPA I should have died years ago.

Junk science is bad enough. Lethal "science" is an abomination.

muhahaha you will never find me "joking of course"
but you know he could have also stolen the plane because planes are easyer to hotwire thin a car and i know downthere in FL its not that hard to find a plane with its keys in it

Possible, but not likely. While planes are physically easy to steal, it's not that common.

Just for clarification, are those Eastern times? NASA kept messing with me last night using Central time. :(

Better luck for tomorrow, then! And hopefully you won't have to use that last one. ;)

How long does it take the shuttle to fly around 1 orbit of the Terra Firma?

If they bypass KSC at 539, is Edwards on the next orbit??

Nah...there's that big ol' lake between us. Although they can have the UP, if they want. For a long time the UP was trying to secede to Canada, but it wouldn't go through. :D

If I can pick a time zone, can I have the one Hawaii is in? That worked GREAT for me! :D

The weather at the Cape isn't cooperating :( so they are now planning to land at Edwards Air Force Base a few minutes after 8.
