Nasty layer cake of mess

My friend called me to help him with his "little" pc problem. Starting on this problem while offline. Well, upon first boot recieved the blue sod with a hex code indicating his video card. I inspected all hardware and found no issue. Rebooted repeatedly to just be able to get a few seconds to snoop around. (Watch processes during boot and try to race to the reg) Found various bits of malware, documented them and rebooted in safe mode. Attempted every tool (I did read the read me first, lol) and all will install however, none of them will run successfully. Files are on the pc and intact, started a symantec scan through dos and that seemed to stabilize things for a bit but that was the best it would do. It's quite a mess and of course he needs the data on the hd (god, i'd love to just wipe that damned thing) Other symptoms: Constant pop ups, no stabilization in OS unless online. If I could just get it to stabilize, I can undemonize the bastard. Are you aware of anything that puts a video card in a constant qeue?

It won't work....I tried the majority of the steps in the read me first read me. The apps will install but the registry is not accepting any changes to allow the them to be active. You can manually run some from dos but it doesn't allow much access. All that is in between blue sod's. It's like a race. I need a roughly 1-2 min resolution to the stabilization issue.

 

Can you get into Safe Mode?

Try renaming HijackThis to analyze.com and run it this way.
