NAV 2004 problem

I'm trying to reinstall my nav 2004 but after 30 seconds into installation it stops with the following message...
internal error 2756.SAVScan.exe.3333244E_F73A_407A_B74A_569A9E09D5B3

Can anyone help. It just wont install!

Yet another problem......
I finaly managed to reinstal the darn thing but now I can't get the antivirus or common client updates. I tried everything suggested on the Symantec web site but to no availe. It involves error messeges LU1806 & LU1812

Can anyone help?

p.s. can anyone suggest an alternate virus protection that is as effective as NAV but less cumbersome?

I see you've opened another thread to rid yourself of NAV 2004.

I have finally given up on NAV, Altho it is a good anti-virus prog I got tired of the resource eater that it is, and the slowing of my comp. I now have PC-cillin Security (anti-virus/firewall) So far it seems much faster than NAV and at least as good. Plus you get both AV and firewall for less cost. Time will tell tho.
