NCH Switch 1.42 Sound card problem

Has anyone experienced sound card problems after downloading the MP3 converter program "SWITCH" (in the Major Geek downloads) its from NCH software?
Every time I boot up now I have to reload my sound card.

 

i use nch software, (not switch specifically, but i think it downloaded with the others) and i haven't had any problems....can you uninstall the switch software, and does it still do it?

 

Yep! I uninstalled the Switch 1.42 s/w and the mp3el.exe that was downloaded along with it.

 

when you say reload, you mean reinstall the drivers for it?

 

Yeah! I just reload the driver and reboot. However the Soundman driver is in my "Start Up" menu.

while reading the nch forums, i have seen something called soundtap...reboot your computer, and when you are having a problem with the sound (dont reinstall yet the driver yet) , open up your sounds and audio devices (in windows xp, for vista, it's something else...) control panel. click on the tab, what is listed as the default playback device? is your default sound card listed? if so, can you switch to it, and reboot, is it still there? if something else is listed, what is it?

 

AC97 Realtec is my current default device, I haven't rebooted since reloading the driver; but my Windows Meadia Player is working fine at the moment. Thanks again for your time and effort. Had to fix my damn motorcycle why I didn't answer sooner damn kickstand spring popped off.
