NEC ND-3550-A will not autoplay ever.
I have enabled services required for this to work. I have also checked properties for the drive and checked for every instance to use autoplay, still doesn't work.

Even purchased dvds will not autoplay, burned ones either.

It shows the contents of the disc in MY COMPUTER but will not POP-UP like most computers.

Also, it burns dvd's in about 12 minutes?

    What is the problem??

Do you have a 40-pin IDE cable or an 80-pin one? I had problems with my NEC DVD+-RW drive. (slow burning, strange problems reading files, etc.) When I switched to an 80-pin cable, everything worked perfectly.

Do you have the latest firmware installed?

It is the same PIN size as the Hard Drive [I guess that is 80-pin?]

1y.6 is the Firmware, the latest I can find anywhere. That is installed.

1.06 [orignal from NEC's site made no difference]

Based on those IMAGES, it is definately the 80-pin on the DVD drive.
    now what?
