NDIS accessing my PC,little Help plz

    I keep getting many many hits from NDIS accessing my computer,I have it blocked now with Sygate. Is this a safe thing to do,do I need NDIS accessing my PC,what's it looking for,I do not Network.
    XP Pro
    HP775
    640 Mb Ram
    40 G Hard Drive

    I have xp pro myself and have not recieved the problem first hand but so far have discovered that if you disable it win starts acting funny but if your not getting any errors or problems then I wouldnt stress it is just a program based on the network card that has something to with the drivers try updating net card drivers and see what happens lots of luck.

    Thanks,I don't think I disabled it,just blocked it for sending out packets. Anyone one else run across something like this,let me know.
