Need 64 Bit Serial Drvr: Intel Amt?

this is the one device windows 10 can't seem to find driver for: HP Elite 8200 and many other intel spec ref desktops/minitowers.

anyone have a clue on this? I downloaded c5amt10us17.exe which was alleged to unpack the right drivers, but no go.

pls help if you can. this is a common part....

Hi

Possible that the serial bus driver is part of the chipset and latest Intel one is HERE
Reboot once installed
Any other yellow ! marks in device manager?

thank you D
right after I posted I tried again and got it. the right driver was in the "SOL" folder, not the MEI folder as I was so sure of [ ]
i installed ver. 7.1. I imagine win 10 will have an update for it now.

I had no other bangs, which is why I assumed the chipset drivers were installed right. am I incorrect? could be that generic MS-provided drivers are doing the work instead of the right ones. wouldn't hurt to run the chipset package as it will be comparing versions.

Hi zapp

Microsoft can on install of a Windows version get the right basic driver but at times if hardware is not functioning as expected the actual Intel (or AMD if using an AMD chipset) chipset will fix many motherboard issues, can run the package but if everything is working out maybe worth leaving for now.
