need a few drivers for gateway

hello all.. i hope this info. can help u help me

i have a Gateway GT5238E Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E6300 (dual core) 64-bit processor

* Each core operates at 1.86 GHz
* 1066 MHz front side bus
* Shared 2 MB L2 cache

and here are the drivers with a " ? " still showing

.SM Bus controller
.unknown device

have you changed anything recently? do you know if these were always there (or recently noticed them)? you should be able to find what you need at the gateway site? i'm assuming that these items were preinstalled? g/l, sos

you might also want to try and d/l "everest" from here, run a scan, and save a report, and see if it helps (more information)? also, have you tried to "right click" and see if you can update through the web? - sos

PCI simple communications controller = this is the dial up modem. If you don't use the modem, don't worry about it. No download link available at Gateway.
SM Bus controller = this is part of your chipset software. Download link http://support.gateway.com/support/...ista Intel Chipset Driver version: 8.1.1.1010
Unknown Device = This is unknown, but it's probably a media reader (commonly labeled unknown). Download link http://support.gateway.com/support/... in 1 Media Reader Driver version: 2.02.01.01
If the driver for the Unknown Device that I supplied doesn't work, download, unzip, and run this http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3908.html Then save the report (click File > Save list) and attach it here and I'll do my best to find the link. Running this may also provide some details about the modem so I can find a link for it too if possible.

The Gateway links are drivers for 32bit Vista only. If you're not running Vista, let us know, and we'll adjust the links as needed.
