    Hi,
I have a firewire port on the front panle of my computer. Problem is that I don't have a firewire plug on my motherboard. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get an adaptor plug so I can plug it into the 6 pin slot on my pci firewire card. The plug in the computer that comes off the front panel is a female plug with 9 holes in it. 5 on the top and 4 on the bottom. I'd like to get a adapter cord so I can plug one end into the female end and the other into the slot on my pci expansion card (it's the large 6 pin slot). I hope I'm explaining this right, hopefully someone can get the jist of what I'm looking for. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks.

    Sean.

You can get a firewire card to fit in a pci slot on your motherboard if you have a pci slot available. You can try this site www.dcables.net to see if they may your adapter. Hope this helps.

Many only have external connections - so verify before buying - looks like Newegg has 10 to choose from.
