Yeah the Reventon looks great, with its angles it looks like a stealth bomber!

Now that would really look nice parked at the front of my place, it would certainly get the neighbors talking.

Oh, I think I'll keep mine.. Stopped today, and looked at a couple at a Pontiac Dealer, and I just couldn't believe what I was seeing....The Pontiac Torrent: Gas millage was poor, 17 city, 24 hwy, the price was over $27000, and the worse part, was the engine was made in China, the Trans. made in Japan, and assembled in Canada... No, I am not kidding.....Now, how do you think GM can explain that one?? :( Not a piece of it was built in America..... :( Not looking good for American workers, for sure..

Nah, I'll keep my 2003 Pontiac Montana, at least it was built by Americans.... here in the U.S. It is 6 years old, no problems with it, so I'll just stick to it.... I don't want to trade in a good American vehicle for one made in China, Japan and Canada..... Man, I just couldn't believe it... Besides, my Montana doesn't qualify for "Cash for clunkers"...... Not old enough, and gets too good gas millage....

Well TeeCee, that's probably one reason why GM discontinued the Pontiac line....they couldn't remember from which country to buy the spare parts from:-D

Hi Stubby, that is a very good point... Sure, they 'discontinued' Pontiac line, but they sort of forgot to tell everyone why... Not because they don't sell, heck, Pontiacs were always a great vehicle.. I have owned a few rolleyes
However, I won't buy another one... Yeah, where to get parts..... You know, if the price of the part didn't get ya, the shipping on it would... I was just shocked to see that myself.... Truly UN-American, for sure... I think Pontiac had the first muscle car way back when, didn't they? remember the GTO, among others? Not today, "engine made in China, the Trans. made in Japan"........ No wonder we have so many people out of work... My husband used to build the transmissions when he worked, and they made them for all the GM vehicles... Not anymore.. Something is wrong with this picture, you know? It just doesn't add up....:confused

    You've heard the term location " "
    profit profit profit

Oh yeah, I DO remember the GTO and I loved that car even though I never owned one. They had 'The Judge,' (glorified GTO) and who could forget the 'TransAm?' However, I do believe that Darlene hit it right on...profit! They tried to bring back the GTO and failed miserably and then they tried the 'G-6,' another flop. They just couldn't make anything that the public wanted, or could afford. So Pontiac went the way of the Oldsmobile. Come to think about it, the only cars I can remember from the Olds line was 4-4-2, the Toronado, and the Delta 88.

@ Hrlow2...what is that:confused Since I can't see an engine I can only assume that it's one of those pedal thinghys, right?

Hi Stubby! Yes, I do understand the 'Profit" part just fine, but golly gees, how much do they need? They are making them cheaper and cheaper, the new cars are NOT made like the old ones, and they have much more plastic than metal, and they are charging MORE PLUS your first born, AND your grand kids! :-D

Seriously, way overpriced for what you get now a days.... then there is location.. OK, we have ONE Pontiac dealer, and he is scrambling to get rid of his inventory, but nobody wants to buy a Tonka toy..... Oh, the Trans Am was my favorite! Definitely muscle cars!

@hrlow, that only looks like a partial car, not the whole thing... Is it real?

I used to know the son of the owner of one of the very few licensed Lamborghini repair shops in the world. It was kind of odd driving by this whole in the wall car place and seeing the $100,000 cars on flatbed semi trailers waiting to be fixed.

Wow, were they trucked in from other states?

they were shipped in from all over the world. Like I said, it was really odd.

and the shop was this little whole in the wall dirt bag seeming place.

I had an alternative to the 03 Montana (Which shared the same platform with the Chevy Venture van) and mine was assembled in Mexico. Seems to be the poster child of why Pontiac failed.

Cars to a niche that no one really wanted to buy. FWIW, I loved my Pontiac Aztek until the local dealer took 5 days to get a rear axle shipped FEDEX for it. ;)

I had my Fiero GT for a month and things started going out, after that there were recalls. Twice it was taken to other then a Pontiac dealer (for an oil change) and they ended up blowing the engine.
Then Grand believe I showed you what happened there, not the car, not me but totaled just the same. :(
