Need advice on Message

    Running Win2000 on Laptop and received the following message:

    Windows cannot load the locally stored pro file. Detail: An I/O operation initiated by the registry failed unrecoverably. The registry could not read in, or write out, or flush one of the files that contains the system image of the registry.

    Any ideas?
