Need help before I Format and reinstall....

I have 2 computers, exact same builds that are 5 months old. They Run on XP, 2 gigs ram Dual Core..the decent stuff.....

1 computer reboots whenever it feels like it...not shut down but restarts, keeps going of the Wi Fi network to the internet and slows to a crawl.

The other one is the King of the "program Not Responding"

Both computers use NOD32, Windows Firewall and Defender, and Ad-Aware. Ccleaner is used, defrag...2 very clean computers.......the Non Responding computers has had a lot of Software in 5 months looking for the Right E-mail, Anti Virus (used MacAfee and NAV .exe uninstallers to get the last drop out).....and now I am all out of Ideas except for Format/reinstall which will take some time.....

Is there something that will find something??????

Any thoughts.......yes, I have also used Registry Mechanic, Win Patrol, and the Ultimate Troubleshooter.

What is the temperature of your system? Maybe it overheats...

 

That was my first thought, do you have any temperature monitors? The CPUs would be where I looked first.

I upped the fan control to Level 3 from Level 1 and it can cool my house.

I had run those back in February but I just ran them again......When I ran Regedit I saw the directories and a couple of fragments remained....

I also upped my fans on the computers to lever 3 from Level 1 to that the CPU runs cooler.


I used the Norton and Mcafee removal exe just in case any remnants remained...the computer is cooler.....and rebooted and clean and we will see.

Also, I keep getting messages that the Drive (A which I do not have is not ready....Retry/Continue/Cancel.....
