    Hi there,
    My AVG keeps popping out with a malware alerts and i have no idea what to do.
    I already ran all of the procedures the forum ask me to before posting and the error is still popping out.

    What I was doing: I was installing Mega Codec 9.2 from a download i got when i was downloaded pulpfiction from isohunt. Just as it was finishing installing It gave an error saying it had an error installing windows home cinema and then prompt to exit, then bam the malware notifications keep poping out.

    Help will be appreciated,

    Rescan with HitmanPro, when it finds services.exe - Virus, allow it to Replace by clicking the down arrow next to the detection and choosing Replace.
    Choose to Delete all that it finds.
    Afterwards, click the Next button.
    HitmanPro may want to reboot the PC in order for the changes to take affect, please do so.

    Now run RogueKiller and Double-click RogueKiller.exe to run. (Vista/7 right-click and select Run as Administrator)
    When it opens, press the Scan button
    Now click the Files/folders tab and locate these detections:

    • [ZeroAccess][FILE] @ : C:\Windows\Installer\{5b51cb62-908d-be00-c32a-623c87aba4a2}\@ --> FOUND
      [ZeroAccess][FOLDER] U : C:\Windows\Installer\{5b51cb62-908d-be00-c32a-623c87aba4a2}\U --> FOUND
      [ZeroAccess][FOLDER] L : C:\Windows\Installer\{5b51cb62-908d-be00-c32a-623c87aba4a2}\L --> FOUND
      [ZeroAccess][FILE] Desktop.ini : C:\Windows\Assembly\GAC_32\Desktop.ini --> FOUND
      [ZeroAccess][FILE] Desktop.ini : C:\Windows\Assembly\GAC_64\Desktop.ini --> FOUND
    Place a checkmark each of these items, leave the others unchecked.
    Now press the Delete button.
    When it is finished, there will be a log on your desktop called: RKreport[2].txt
    Attach RKreport[2].txt to your next message. (How to attach)

    Reboot and rescan with both RogueKiller and Hitman and attach those new logs also.

    okay i did what u asked me too, and my avg, hitmanpro and roguekiller dont seem to be picking up anything.

    However i would like to note that when i was cleaning using hitmanpro the service-exe virus failed to be replaced however roguekiller managed to.
    Also, roguekiller could not find the
    [ZeroAccess][FILE] @ : C:\Windows\Installer\{5b51cb62-908d-be00-c32a-623c87aba4a2}\@ --> FOUND
    [ZeroAccess][FOLDER] U : C:\Windows\Installer\{5b51cb62-908d-be00-c32a-623c87aba4a2}\U --> FOUND
    [ZeroAccess][FOLDER] L : C:\Windows\Installer\{5b51cb62-908d-be00-c32a-623c87aba4a2}\L --> FOUND

    and only managed to find:
    [ZeroAccess][FILE] Desktop.ini : C:\Windows\Assembly\GAC_32\Desktop.ini --> FOUND
    [ZeroAccess][FILE] Desktop.ini : C:\Windows\Assembly\GAC_64\Desktop.ini --> FOUND

    and the service-exe virus which was not cleaned up by hitmanpro.

    Okay this my third time posting this, dont know why but everytime i post it doesnt seem to appear.
    Anyway, i did all the scan as requested and now im not getting anymore problems, avg, roguekiller and hitmanpro not finding anything. Also hitmanpro was unable to replace the service virus but roguekiller managed to, also rougekiller only found the last two files but the first three were not there.

    Looks like that fixed it.

    If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. You can uninstall RogueKiller and HitManPro.
    2. Go back to step 4 of the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista or Win 7, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders
      related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link
    Malware removal from a National Chain = $149
    Malware removal from MajorGeeks = $0
