Need help installing HJT correctly

I did a search on my PC and cannot find winzip, I created the folder as suggested on this site and have downloaded the " hijackthis_sfx " file into the folder. If I right-click on the " hijackthis_sfx " file I get a window that offers the following options : "open" , "run as" , "pin to start menu" or "send to". When I click on open I get a window asking if I want to run the " hijackthis_sfx.exe " application which resides in the C:\Program Files\HJT folder. Nowhere do I get an option to "extract all " . I don't want to do this wrong so where/what do I do now ??? Did I click on the wronk link on the majorgeeks website and didn't get the right download ??? I assumed I was going to get " hijackthis.zip" file but got the above instead. Help............

Yes all you have to do is double click on the hijackthis_sfx.exe to run it and it will automatically suggest and create the C:\Program Files\HijackThis folder and put the hijackthis.exe file in there for you. You then just need to rename the hijackthis.exe to analyse.exe. The procedure in the READ ME is a little out of date now since we changed the download of HijackThis to be a self-extracting installer.

With the self-extracting installer you will not need WinZip to get HijackThis installed. WinZip will be useful for you to have for other reason though.
