    looking for free downloadable ebooks to help me learn c++ programing, mainly directied toward web site design and game design. tryig to further my knowledge , but very much a begginer to this code, i know alot of BASIC, ( outdated and not used, i know ) but ive been told thier not simalar at all. also, what is a good compiler for c++? free or not.

    C++ isn't going to get you very far in developing web sites. For that, seek the use of the following:
    ASP.NET (C#)
    PHP
    JavaScript
    HTML
    XML
    CSS
    SQL: MSSQL | MySQL | Db4Objects | SQLlite etc.
