need help removing malware/ machine#2

    machine has some major problems, hangs, programs open but do not respond, sometimes I have to do a manual shut down because start will not respond nor will ctl alt dlt. winpatrol pops up wanting to edit registry (regedit.exe%1)

    celeron 2.0
    win xp
    512 ram
