Need Help Removing Worm (NETSKY)

    My Mom's computer is having problems due to a toolbar called Elfwgps. It keeps bringing up virus alerts and tries to send you to their website. How do I get this thing off? Also the pop up claims the worm.win32.netsky virus is on the computer.

    I see from your AVG AS log that you did not follow the intructions in the READ ME to empty your Norton Nprotect folder. That is why your log was so large!! You also did not allow AVG AS to fix the problems. You had it Ignore everything.

    You also did not put your system into Normal Startup mode as requested in the READ ME. See step 1 and run MSconfig and select Normal Startup mode now. DO NOT USE MSCONFIG to control startups anymore. MSconfig is only to be used for temporary debugging. It is not a tool for long term startup mangement and causes problems when you do that. After you do this you will have to reboot and after reboot then run C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat by double click on it. Then you will have to attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that is created. Sorry for the additional delay in working on malware fixes but the delay was cause by not following our instructions which are necessary.
