Need Help with a registry item

I recently fell victim to the SPOOLSVC.exe worm, well that's not exactly it's name but it was one of it's creations. As far as I know I got rid of the worm but I need some help, in my effort to get rid of it and all its registry entries I deleted to things.


I deleted the restrictanonymous and restrictanonymousam(or sam) entries. I misread somewhere and was only supposed to change, so if any could help me by telling me if this will have any future effects or what can I do to get these entries back (or if restrictanonymousam even belonged there) I would be greatful, thanks.

Would a dirty install (install without reformatting) be good enough?

 

Not too sure, if you can wait a little while longer, one of the more informed guys will be online, who will be able to give you better advice.

 

Did you make any registry backups before you did the editing?

If not, try booting to Last Known Good Configuration.
