Well, whichever way you decide to go, you will have to learn how to express yourself properly.

    Hi Silas

I would advise you to enrol on a computing course, I don't know your level of PC knowledge so cannot advise to what level for you to go for judging from your post, but a basic entry course should do you well.

A course that allows you to troubleshoot and solve PC issues is the best if you wish to do this as a job.

Also if you have any old PCs lying around or have parts to build one, do build a PC from scratch and install an OS and software as that is a great way to learn how to fix PCs as you are likely to have a few teething troubles along the way.

Read up about hardware and operating systems and how they work.
Check out many of the threads here on the forum on hardware, software, driver issues and how others solve the questions as those will help you learn more about how to solve problems.

Don't enroll in CIS/CIT or whatever unless you have a clear goal in your mind. I guess that is true for any degree, but not having a clear goal in your mind is bad. No degree makes you superman, and never assume that finishing a degree is going to create the goal for you.

most good IT jobs are going to require a certification these days as well, A+ is usually the "starting point" but doesn't have to be. Take a look at some IT job openings you may be interested in and what their requirements might be to even apply for it. Basic tech support jobs are a great learning tool but it can also be thankless and frustrating at times. I've done both over the phone and deskside support for the last 10+ years but have shifted away from that now. I do NOT miss working in the big corporate world that tells you how to dress or to cut your hair!
