I have read many of your removal tutorials, and I removed SurfSideKick and tryed removing OuterInfo, however that doesn't seem to be enough. I know I have a few trojans but I'm not sure what their names are and which registry keys to delete/processes to stop. Please take the time to look over my HJT log, thank you so much!

    Welcome to Majorgeeks!

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.
    • Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
    • Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
    • After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:
    • When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too (these scans are covered in steps 6 & 7 of the READ & RUN ME sticky)
      • Bitdefender
      • Panda Scan
      • HijackThis
    .

My apologies for posting incorrectly, and not searching for the "read and run me first....". I will follow all the steps you gave me, and post again when I've completed them.

Sorry, it took me a while to post because I was having some trouble with BitDefender freezing on me. Here are the logs, and thank you very much in advance for taking the time to help me and others out with the never ending battle of malware. :)

Please goto Add/Remove programs and uninstall Viewpoint Manager as was requested in step 0 of the READ ME.

Make sure viewing of hidden files is enabled (per the tutorial).

Please run HijackThis and click on the Open the Misc Tools Section button on the open page. Then select Open process manager on the left-hand side. Look for the following process (or processes) and one at a time kill them by selecting it and then click Kill process. Then click yes.
    C:\DOCUME~1\Jordan\APPLIC~1\ICROSO~1\iexplore.exe

After killing all the above processes, click Back.
Then please click Scan and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Iumr] "C:\DOCUME~1\Jordan\APPLIC~1\ICROSO~1\iexplore.exe" -vt ndrv
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Rdvnq] C:\WINDOWS\W?nSxS\alg.exe
    O9 - Extra button: Messenger - {FB5F1910-F110-11d2-BB9E-00C04F795683} - C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe
    O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Windows Messenger - {FB5F1910-F110-11d2-BB9E-00C04F795683} - C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe
    O16 - DPF: {00000000-0000-0000-0000-100000000002} - http://code.jcash.biz/l/32b79ad9d2fbe3a3d23f3a8948b03ee9_13.exe
    O16 - DPF: {00000000-0000-0000-0000-100000000003} - http://code.trasferimento.biz/l/876af5e3379655180ce38186ba5adefc_35.exe

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.
Boot into safe mode and use Windows Explorer to delete:
    C:\DOCUME~1\Jordan\APPLIC~1\ICROSO~1\iexplore.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\W?nSxS\alg.exe

If you get an error when deleting a file. Right click on the file and check to see if the read only attribute is checked. If it is, uncheck it and try again. Other wise open Task Manager and kill the process if running then delete the file.

Now if running Win XP goto c:\windows\Prefetch and delete all files in this folder.
Now run Ccleaner (installed while running the READ ME FIRST).

Now reboot in normal mode and post a new HJT log.

Make sure you tell me how things are working now.

Reminder Note: Once we have determined you are malware free you will need to disable System Restore, reboot, and re-enable system restore per step 1 of the READ & RUN ME. This only applies to if using WinXP or WinMe.

I wasn't able to delete these files because they where not in the C: folder:
    C:\DOCUME~1\Jordan\APPLIC~1\ICROSO~1\iexplore.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\W?nSxS\alg.exe

my computer is running the same "speed and performance don't seam any different", although I haven't had an "advertisment by outerinfo" pop up on me since I followed your instructions

The only other item in your log that I question is:

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {85CF4327-68DE-1974-B32E-766E84A9706C} - C:\WINDOWS\wcidBHO.dll

Do you know what this Browser Helper Object is for?

You can have HijackThis fix the below non-malware items. They just are not necessary to load at startup.

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TkBellExe] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe" -osboot
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime

I'll fix all 3 of those. I'm not sure which browser help object that is but I probably don't use it anyways. Other than that I'm malware free and I can refresh system restore?

Well the best thing to do is use Add/Remove programs first if the item has an install/uninstall. But you need to know what it is to do that.

Yes, if you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to go back to step 1 of the READ & RUN ME to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points. Then reboot and enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.

After that, you should work thru the below link:

How to Protect yourself from malware!

Ok, I've fixed/deleted those three lines, my computer is still running good so I also refreshed the Restore Points on System Restore. Now I'll follow the How to Protect yourself from malware! link and I believe that's all!

Thanks for all your help Chas!
