need help with malware

Greetings,
I am trying to help a friend remove some nasty malware. Symptoms are redirects from search engines to strange pages. Tried to run hijack this and malware bytes, but after install, they will not work, they shut down after a few seconds. tried also scanning with avast and the malware disabled the scanner. tried tips on other threads in this forum, but no luck.

I am no expert, but have had success in the past on my own machine while reading advice from these forums.
Itried renaming malware bytes exe to .com and still no success. computer shuts down and restarts after an attempt to try to run scanners. says something about a dcon error, was able to run sysinternals process explorer, but only thing i saw that looked suspicious was lsass.exe. When i shut down that process, computer shows dcon error and restarts


Any advice would surely appreciated.
