Need help with memory card

I have an SD memory card that I had used to save over 1000 photos of my new baby's life. Well, that was all lost when I inadverdently reformatted from low level setting and now all of my pics are GONE! Is there any way to recover these as all of the recovery websites I have tried have been unsuccessful stated the dreaded "no files found". HELP

 

If that was a low-level format thrn your chances are not very good. You could try the following.

If you are able to recover the files, make sure you do not save them back to the memory card.

I believe it was a low level format. My Canon Powershot offered "low level format" and I clicked OK. It never gave me any warning that I would lose all data. I did it because I am inexperienced and thought it would allow better resolution of my pictures because some times they printed very grainy. I am so desperate to get these pictures that I will try anything. A camera shop nearby offers photo recovery, but I wonder if it is any better than these websites?? A low-level format will zero out your memory card. The only way to get anything back ,if possible, would be through a professional recovery service. Not your local camera shop. And it would not be cheap. Sorry

I am not familiar with any of the Professional Data Recovery Services. Somebody on this board maybe able to give you some links.

You might want to check out this software... I have no idea if it will work or not, but it's a (relatively) cheap solution to your problem if it does work. I was able to get the software for free (a limited time deal), but haven't actually used it yet.
