need help with Music Library on Win 7

I am running out of HDD space I use Windows Media Player exclusively and I have gone into Windows Media player and deleted many many albums but when I go into my music folder the albums I deleted are still there in sub-folders like A Perfect Circle etc. Do I need to delete the folders in the music folder for the albums I want to delete, or why are the folders still showing up as sub-folders in my music folder? :major

 

I believe you do need to delete the folders in your Music folder. Why not try it? Since your goal is to free up some space, go ahead and try that approach. I think you'll soon see whether it is the way to go.

Agreed with usafveteran. You might also monitor your HD space information as you delete the folders to see if they are merely placeholders or if they contain actual data.
