need help with my wi-fi

I bought a wi-fi router and i cant use it with my laptop, i can use it with my phone just fine, the thing is my laptop is missing a wi-fi driver for sure , i checked for a wi-fi switch on my laptop, i dont have one, also fn+f5 (the shortcut for wi-fi)doesen't work , here are all the informations taken from Dxdiag, please point me to a driver that will work.. or something

could you post the mfg and model of your laptop please?
I am assuming the OS was installed from the factory and you have the driver. Maybe you have not turned on the WiFi antenna? Usually you have to press a special function key on the lower left of the keyboard along with an upper function key like F2. The action would be press and hold the fn key and tap the f2 key. Your keys may be different, check the manual.

 

On my Lenovo E335 the WiFi is turned on and off with Fn + F9 but, as DOA says, check your manual.

 

First, run the windows network troubleshooter: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows7/Using-the-Network-troubleshooter-in-Windows-7

Go to the Lenovo website and search for your laptop model 20208.

You could download the WiFI driver from the Lenovo website: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/pro...o-b-series-laptops/lenovo-b590-notebook/20208

As you've noted, WiFi is enabled by pressing Fn+F5 - see user guide https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/mobiles_pdf/b490_b43xx_b590_ug_en.pdf

However, it maybe that your WiFi isn't configured to connect to your router. This can be achieved by right-clicking on the network icon in the system tray then select "Open Network and Sharing Centre". Once the Network window displays there is a link to "Set up a new connection or network".
