    I did most of the steps in the READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide. But I coud not install SUPERAntiSpyware. Every time I do try to install I get this Error Message

    "Error 1321. Windows Installer has insufficient privileges to modify this file: C/Program Files/SUPERAntiSpyware/SUPERAntiSpyware.exe."

    Then I'm given these three options. :Abort: :Retry: :Ignore:

    When I select Retry nothing happens. When I select Ignore the program installed but I get this following Error Message when I try to open the program.

    "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item"

    I get the same error message when I try to open HijackThis. I used also to get the same error message for Malwarebytes until I re-installed it under mb.exe instead of mbam-setup.exe.

    I attached 4 out of the 5 Logs recommended. I hope that will do.

    Your SAS log is here:
    Code:
    "C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\SUPERAntiSpyware.com\SUPERAntiSpyware\Logs\"
    supera~1.log  Sep 30 2009        1266  "SUPERAntiSpyware Scan Log - 09-30-2009 - 13-37-59.log"

    Attach it to your next reply.

    I am not seeing any malware. But lets do this>

    Please disable all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs while we do the following (re-enable when you are finished):

    Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

    Now Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixME.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
    Make sure that you tell me if you receive a success message about adding the above
    to the registry. If you do not get a success message, it definitely did not work.

    Now download The Avenger by Swandog469, and save it to your Desktop.

    * Extract+ avenger.exe from the Zip file and save it to your desktop
    * Run avenger.exe by double-clicking on it.
    * -Do not change any check box options!!
    * Copy everything in the Quote box below, and paste it into the Input script here: part of the window:

    * Now click the Execute button.
    * Click Yes to the prompt to confirm you want to execute.
    * Click Yes to the Reboot now? question that will appear when Avenger finishes running.
    * Your PC should reboot, if not, reboot it yourself.
    * A log file from Avenger will be produced at C:\avenger.txt and it will popup for you to view when you login after reboot.
    -
    Now run Ccleaner to clean out only temp files and nothing else!

    Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:

    * C:\ComboFix.txt
    * C:\MGlogs.zip

    Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

    I did everything you said but my computer still refuses to run and install SAS and HJT. I was able to run HJT the other way you mentioned though and I removed
    But I couldn't find
    Everything went smooth except when I had to reboot after running The Avenger by Swandog469. From what I can tell it did what it was supposed to do. But after the PC rebooted it asked me to insert a disk? I had no idea what it meant so I exited off it. Any idea what that's about?

    And I appreciate your help, thanks

    HJT is a part of the MGTools.....C:\MGtools\analyse.exe ...are you saying that when you click on it, it doesn't run?

    The 03 line is still in the HJT log withing your MGLogs.zip.

    Otherwise, your logs are clean.

    As to SAS,
    • Please uninstall your current version (this is necessary).
    • Then download this SUPERAntiSpyware
    • Install this new version. It may tell you that you need to reboot to complete the installation. You must reboot at this time.
    • After the reboot, run SUPERAntiSpyware and immediately click the Check for Updates button to get more updates for the database.
    • Now run a new full scan of your system. And attach this new log.

    Did that work?

    I did what you said and I still can run SAS. I don't know what the problem might be but for now I'll just leave it. Thanks anyways.

    I assume you meant that you can't run SAS. What happened when you tried to run analyse.exe?

    Please run this:
    Win32KDiag - How to run

    Then please try running the below online scan:

    http://www.superantispyware.com/onlinescan.html

    Reboot immediately after scanning if it finds and removes anything. Let me know if anything was found. It does not save a log.

    Now download the latest version of MGtools and save it to your root folder. Overwrite your previous MGtools.exe file with this one. Run the exe.

    Please attach both the win32diag log and the new C:\MGLogs.zip
