Hello Everyone! I am UnicornLady, a long time fan of MajorGeeks (love these folks!!) I am experiencing an ongoing problem with any version of Skype I have ever used, right now I am on ver. 4.2 which I believe is the newest version...if it is not please advise me!! Here is the problem...I can post a status message next to my photo but I cannot upload a song to indicate my mood. All I get is a continually rotating blue circle with an arrow in the middle of my screen. Other wise Skype works incredibly well for me, always has! This may not seem like a huge problem but I would like to be able to upload music! Any help will, as always be very appreciated! Keep up the incredible work you fabulous Geeks...I send everyone I know to you!!! Your superduper fan...UnicornLady!!!;)

I was looking into your issue. It seems that maybe during the connection to skype's server you may have lost internet for a moment. please contact me with more details.

Hello, and thanks for your reply...I do understand what you mean, and I will give you all the info. I can, thing is that I have installed Skype, every version several times each over the years and I have had the same issue with each one. I am trying to think of what else I can tell you...I am running Win7, Google Chrome, I have a laptop, Acer Aspire 5532., high speed Internet thru Comcast. except for not being able to add music where my mood status is on Skype, it works wonderfully, I use video, audio all the time. I never lose connection during a call although sometimes the person I am chatting with does. I have no other issues with any programs or with my Acer. I thank you for taking the time to reply, I appreciate anything you can advise me on. Sadey:cool

    Hi

If you have Skype version 4.2 then you have the latest version.

Now we can with your initial information rule out the Windows version you are currently using as this has happened for quite a while so would link to a 3rd party application causing the problem, security applications are the usual suspects so disable your antivirus and firewall to test this thought.

Alternatively install latest version of Moodsongs
