Need Help with space on C drive

I ran Ccleaner like I was told but it still says 2.06 GB Free Space
My total size is 38.3 GB
I also cleaned out unused documents

WHAT else cab I do ????

HELP PLEASE

Tell me how I can back up some of my programs on a disc to free up space if that will help

 

Hard to say without seeing your computer...do you have a ton of music, games, or movies on the computer? Those are usually the big culprits for taking up space. The music & movies at least can easily be burnt to a CD/DVD to free up hard drive space...or you can spend about $49 on a new 160GB drive & put it in as a secondary drive & move all your media/data files to that.

 

where do you suggest I get it for $49 and I need a free download of Nero 6.0 I backed it up with winzip32, acrobat 5 full ACDSee 32 I thought on a cd but its not there or else I just dont know how to put the back up back on my computer
I am A computer BEGINNER I need simple step by step instructions

by the way, we don't support pirating software (free download of nero) so if your wanting nero go buy it.

 

Download and install a free CD/DVD burning program like CD Burner XP Pro 3 or FinalBurner. Both in the BackUp section here at MajorGeeks. Then burn your My Documents folder to a CD (or DVD if it's over 700mb). Then open My Documents, and remove all the stuff in there: empty the My Music folder, the My Pictures folder and whatever. Then go to the Control Panel, go to Add/Remove Programs and start removing programs that you haven't used in a month or so. They'll all have dates saying 'last used on...'. Then run CCleaner again, followed by a defrag, and see where that gets ya'...

Dear Colemanguy,

I spoke too soon on Nero I have my install cd for that.
I dont have the others becuz they were installed before I recieved my tower from manufacturer, I did do a back up (I thought) as soon as I got it but I put it in to reinstall and it dont work.
I have contacted them though and they are taking care of that problem.
I AM NOT A PIRATE .........I just didnt know

i dont know if you can get a 160g for 49 but i like www.newegg.com they seem pretty reasonable in thier prices
