Need help with web server question

I recently registered a domain with Register.com and now I want to use my home computer as the web server. I put my IP address into register.com's IP thing but when I go to the address I register I get the standard can't find page, but if I go by the IP address, it works. I'm using Microsoft IIS for my web server, do I need to configure anything on that end or is it something else? HELP PLEASE!

When did you do this change? it takes about 3 days for it to replicate throughout the net.

Listen to Kodo... 'cause that's the most likely reason... give DNS time to update, man... jeez.
