Need help with XP boot problem..

i am currently encountering a problem which doesnt allow my computer boot its operating system.. im currently using xp..
The problem goes like this, i turn on my pc, it displays all the hardware info, then comes the xp loading screen but in my case, the xp loading screen doesnt appear and my screen just goes black and the hard drive stops reading..
to fix my problem, i re-install the OS.. but after a couple of restart and turning off the pc, the problem will re-occur again.. i will then again re-install the OS..
im not turning off my pc right now, in my fear of the problem reoccuring again.. i changed my hard drive, thinking it was the problem but now i know its not..
can anyone help me solve this problem?? and tell me whats causing it..

 

When you reinstall the OS Do you have the correct display adapter installed?
Have you looked for updated drivers?
When you can not boot the computer do you try to boot up in safe mode?

 

Yes.. i have the correct display adapter.. all my drivers are up-to-date.. i also try to boot it in safe mode and the same thing happens..
its not really the display that has a problem..

 

Some information about the harddisk could be usefull.

 

Also what sofwares do you have,any chance of a virus in one of your apps?
And when you reinstall xp,did you completely reformat the disk?
