need help!

ok so i was at my mom's house a while ago and see said there was somthing wrong with here comp. i checked and my moms relly big in to music and shes into toses free music sites so i was checking here comp. and i scannded it and when i scanded it lots of the items showed up as KOWN BAD SITES so she asked me to remove them and i couldend anay help

aslo when i logged oof the comp. it made a siren sound anay idea on that.

 

OK Bro, Im suprized a lot of people havn't jumped on this. One step at a time.
1. get a free adware scanner Lavasoft adaware is pretty good
2. get a trojan killer Spybot search and destroy is a good free one
3. Virus scan the crap out of it. Last I recall there are dozens of free virus scanner out there. AVG by Grissoft is free and good, Avast makes a home version free also.
4. do a windows disk clean, empty recycle bin and defrag.

There are tons of ways to skin a cat, this is just one of many. Also, you might want to cross post on the malware forum.

 

Ok, I'm going to assume your mother is about my mothers age (or I'm almost old enough to be your mom...lol ).......maybe you should get her into Major Geeks ........BEFORE she web surfs. It'll give her some idea on what goes on in the internet. And just like going to school...if your not taught/shown you wont know....Trust me parents don't know everything!!...
I'm so glad my mom DOES NOT have internet access, god only knows what she would download.....lol....
