Need some advice for a live video feed...

Hey guys and gals,

I am working on a project for my residence hall. We're doing a "Wiffleball World Series" and I am in charge of the jumbotron (i.e. a projector we set up). I would really like to go all out, and we've got a MiniDV camcorder hooked into my computer, which also has a video capture card and various outputs. I need a live video software that can overlay stuff like batter names, stats, etc and a scoreboard on the fly. I'm certain there's gotta be something out there and I've tried searching for a good program with no luck. We do have a bit of a budget since this is a pretty big event around here . I'd greatly appreciate any advice.
