thats looks good bluesman, that looks like a pretty sweet ride. one thing with 4 wheel drive is you need to have it serviced every once in a while, my friend didnt have his taken care of for a while and he needed it and it didn't work. thats the only thing about that truck that would be out of the ordinary. now all you need is a loud stereo. i recommend rockford fosgate. (sorry had to throw in the opinion of a 16 year old). looks great though.

Looks sweet. Unless you live in snow & ice country, or actually plan to get off-road regularly, 4WD is a waste, but everything else looks great.

I dont live in snow & ice country, only just winter months bog us down with snow..but IMO 4WD is not a waste. I have noticed differences while driving in heavy down poors, snow, icy roads..even gravel.

I know that 4WD has saved my butt quite a few times.

But you DO live in snow country. Bluesman is in California. Rain & gravel are no challenge to any vehicle. 4WD, long term, adds to the maintenance costs, and if you don't NEED it, is a waste.

i own a shirt that is perfect for this occasion. its goes a little something like this.

"i'd rather push a Chevy (has the symbol instead of name),
rather than drive a ford (again has ford symbol instead of name)."

    :D :D
i made sure i drove a chevy, all bit a POS cavalier it beats a torus.

Make sure that is a spray-on bedliner. Drop-in bedliners rub paint off the bed and hide the rust spots until it's too late.

Thank guys. The price is right. I do live about 25 mins from snow/ice. It will be nice to take the family up into the snow and cut down a xmas tree. Also will be nice to drive back way down the fire roads with my bike and stage it there instead of the beginning of the bike park. The KX has a small tank and being a 2 stroke kinda limits the distance I can travel in a hurry.

Sending the wife down to look at it today. If they can put on new brakes, relube the splines in the steering column(its rattling just like the tahoe does occasionaly) and give me a printout of the service record I will probably get it. It was a previous daily rental but is very clean and in good shape. I wanted a new one but cant bring myself to pay that much for a vehicle. I am having a hard enough time bringing myself to make the payment on this. All my vehicles are paid off, not having a car payment is a good thing lol.

Just called them and passed on the truck. Decided to stuff so more money away for now. It started to turn into a hassle. Bleah..

i'm sure that was the right call, i doubt the whole family could have fit in a regular cab anyway. the more money stashed the better, that means more for the next vehicle.

down here in texas you need a good 4WD to get around on our gulf coast. and to get your boat up alot of ramps.

Oh well, more money down = shorter indentured slavery, which is a good thing.

The Altima I bought last summer was the first one where I was able to walk in & pay cash. That smooths out a lot of the bumps and hassles. Been doing ever-larger downpayments and shorter loan periods for the last few, and had a few years before last years purchase to sock money away towards it. Short of getting this one totalled in a wreck, I've now got about 10 years to save up for the next one.

Yeah it sucked because I am getting close to desperation here. Not only is mine 15yrs old and needing some work done, I am just about sick of driving it. Even though it serves its purpose well, driving a vehicle that you can't stand day in and day out kinda wears on ya a bit.

I'll keep saving and hopefully find something when the time is right. For now its back to the 1990 mazda b2200 se5. Hey at least it starts and the tires are relatively new...
