Need space help!!

alright well im not sure if this goes here.. but w/e

Alright well i got 5 drives .. C , E , F , D , G .. they all got like 16GB each.. anyway the C drive is at like 722MB free space.. and that is terribly low.. ive tryed praticly everything to get it up but ive been unsuccessful.

Ive tryed running CC cleaner, adding and removing programs manually but all my programs that take alot of space arent even installed on C .. anyway PLZ help and tell me where i might start looking.

Also my big question is can i defragment it .. even if it has only 7% free space when the computer recomend 15%?

 

You could try defragging but that wont make much of an improvement. try deleting one of your partitions to make more room for drive C.

 

Why don't you move some files and things from drive C to another drive to free up space?

Or you could resize each partition to distribute your hard drive space more to your liking. Try this program to resize your paritions.

another hint , try to use c: drive for you OS only, store downloads and programs on one of the other drives, EDITED: [some prggies need to be on your c:] cut and paste and music files 'they take up alot of space' put them on another drive, orginize things to your liking, and get c:drive down in size. use ccleaner and then defrag, your system with run much better, if you move a program you with have to find the exe. file to it , right click and click send to desktop. you can make a file and move the exe.'s that youve made in to a new folder and call it shortcuts if you like.
