    Hi there!
I have a Gateway ZX4300 all-in-one. I started a virtual customer service job that requires me to install their "Secure Desktop Environment" software. When I am on duty for them, I need to be able to boot my computer from the USB drive they sent me. However, when I press F2 on startup, I don't see any options to boot from USB or to set a boot order. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks in advance,
    Miki

    Greetings, texoz.

If you are not able to access your machine's BIOS setup, try pressing <F1> or <F2> upon startup.

If you are able to access your machine's BIOS setup, but there are no options presented for changing the boot order or if USB is not presented in the boot order hierarchy, then you will not be able to boot to a USB device.

Just had a thought (amazing for this time of morning!), a little "outside-of-the-box" thinking:

Will the machine boot to CD/DVD? Or, can you get the boot order changed to CD/DVD first? If so, you might be able to transfer the software from the USB device to an optical and use it to boot.

I have an old computer that does not support booting from USB but using a bootable CD of PLOP, have been successful in booting. You need to burn the iso to a CD with software such as Imgburn and then boot the CD to the Boot Manager, telling it to boot from USB.

Edit: the file you need to download and unzip is plpbt-5.0.13.zip.

Hi, it looks like you have a couple of options to get into BIOS.

Del key seems to be the default key to enter BIOS. Esc may also work or just give overall system information.

Perhaps most useful would be to have the USB key connected and then try F12 during the Gateway screen to get a one time boot menu where you can select USB as the current boot device but leave the boot order at defaults.

    Page from your manual attached:
