Need to find out, if this is hype or true

Hi, everyone I am new here and I need to ask you a question if anyone here knows that answer and I how that you will think as it as a stupid question, i was rise to believe that a stupid question is a unasked question. I am a member at this online poker site. and a select few poker player there are winning at alerting rates, it seem like they, never lost, it seen like they know what everyone at the tables has in their hand, its incredible they keep, winning at no cost, I seen one of these player win with the lower hands possible. Some of the player are saying that there are scanner being use to see what the players have in their hands. I just wanted to know if there is such a thing as a scanner, I hope that you do not think that this is crazy I am new at some of the thing that are being used on the internet.So please if you know the ask, please leave it a reply in my in box.

 

Speaking for myself, I prefer my poker live and in person.

My grand dad, long gone to his reward, was an excellent cheater. That is, you knew he was doing it, but he rarely got caught. Made for an adventerous game of poker.

As with electronic voting, computers make cheating easier, but I don't have enough information to have an opinion on any specific sites.

 

If its on a PC, and theres money involved, it can be cheated. In my opinion, that is!

Thats what I thought, but its just bad english I think. I think the first option is yes people do cheat and the second one is not people dont?

There are lots of ways for people to cheat at online poker or push the odds in thier favour,its quite staggering when you go into detail,I once saw a documentary on the subject and two coders said by the year 2010 half of all the people playing online will be bots set up by coders\criminals or just cheats

The first and most basic aid is an odds calculator to give you the odds of your hand coming out then theres the bot which will record exactly the way other people play at the game and can calculate the odds of them having a strong hand and watch for patterns ect,this doesnt even have to be code it can just be a group of people playing at the same game working together or a group of people playing the same hand working together at the same computer or group of computers

In real poker if you have two half decent players in a group of eight communicating with each other which can be done easily through skype ect. they can dominate the game,thats why in real life poker you will get the crap beaten out of you for working with a partner

Its a total minefield IMO,people will throw thier money away though...

EDIT Stick to private game with a few friends and family you trust and even then be careful MHO

 

I'm with Bill and Rikky on this. Much more fun in person and you don't have to cheat. But you have to learn to read people's tells. I lost $140 in my first Navy poker game. That gave me the incentive to learn to play right!

 

I wouldnt rule it out completely,a private game with family or friends who live far away would be fun,its the not knowing who or what your playing against that has stopped me playing online poker,it took me a while before I trusted the video roulette machine at my local bookie

 

I don't trust my computer. It cheats at solitaire!!!!

 

I have been playing Texas Hold-Em online at MSN for about 2 years and I find it great fun. Yes I know that some people communicate their hands by way of Instant Messenger etc, but as this is only a fun game it doesnt really matter; just childish behaviour.
I use this site as a learning tool, so that I can put this knowledge to the test when playing friends and family at home!

 

I think people who cheat when theres no money involved are a lower form of life than those that do

Yea, if your acussing lev of cheating, thats not very smart. Shes one of the nicest people around here, and to call her a cheater because she doesn't understand your poll? Thats really dumb.

Cheating online? Never been to a poker website in my life, so your attempt to slander my name is totally without factual groundingl. However, I have been to many English lessons, and know when a sentence makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. If you wish to avoid criticism, I suggest you re-read your posts BEFORE hitting the Enter key

 

i have never played online but have watched with interest.

i have also seen a number of programs that say they will give you an advantage(no comment) but being a beginner on the Internet i have seen that wherever money is involved someone will find a way to cheat.

 

I guess you could play multiple hands at one table and only lose the ante on the poorer hands, and then not have to sandbag or bluff as often. Beside that, going to the casino is the real deal. And their security made an art of catching cheats. Your odds are better in Vegas baby. :cool
