Need to know if i can bypass my system for my webcam

    HI i got this webcam (had trouble identifying it earlier) i found out it is a Sonixs SN9C102 Pc 6029 CIF, i got the correct software for the cam, i have windows 98 but i need windows 98se for some .dll files, and i just want to know if i could download the files from windows98se that i need to build the webcam driver for the webcam to work. would it mess up my computer???
