Does anyone know of a good monitoring program that takes periodic screenshots of a PC desktop? I need it for work but I’m not that tech savvy so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Something like the free open-source "Network Spy" application, perhaps?
"Network Spy is an open source application that provides the option to remotely monitor a system by receiving periodic screenshots of the desktop. This application can be used by both novice and advanced users. (via: addictivetips.com)" I don't think this program is available at MajorGeeks but it can be found at the following website...

Site URL: Receive Periodic Screenshots of a Remote System with Network Spy [there you will find a download link to the app; as well as a 'step-by-step' tutorial; with pics and all]

Important Side Note: If you want to install and use this application at work, you might want to talk to your boss first to make sure it is ok to do so. ;)

Oh, he knows, he gave me the assignment.

Unfortunately, free software won’t work. My boss said that he prefers paid software because he doesn’t trust free tools. Can you recommend me something? Anything you have used?

Does Network Spy that COMPUABLE recommended have the functionality that you are after? If so, then I can't see the point of paying for something that a relative 'novice' programmer would have the ability to produce.
Being open source and free does not equate to junk. :)
I'm sure the people behind Network Spy would gladly accept a sizable donation, if that would make your boss happy.

    Hi guys,
Actually we are currently looking into Network Spy and two other programs (Webwatcher and Praetorian Guard).

Lol If it was up to me I’d probably make the donation :)
