    Hello.
I have updated the stupid Youtube downloader program and updated it to its more evil version, version 4.9.
As Chaslang said to someone else:
"You did it to youself when you downloaded and installed YouTube Downloader Toolbar v4.9."
Yes, well, crap. Now I need help; following the instructions in the other thread didn't fix it for me. :(

    Please help.

Download the latest version of MGtools and save it to your root folder. Run the exe and attach the resultant log --- C:\MGLogs.zip.

    It this the Youtube downloader:
    YTD Toolbar v6.3 ??

I am not seeing it in any of your logs. What have you tried to do to remove it? What browser is it in?

Use windows explorer to find and delete:
    C:\Users\ordi\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Templates\B21UFLfk3

Now copy just the bold text below to notepad (Do not include any space above the word REGEDIT). Save it as fixME.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
Make sure that you tell me if you receive a success message about adding the above
to the registry. If you do not get a success message, it definitely did not work.

Ehh...probably, yes. My bad. But I still need it out of here.

I followed the successful steps in the follwoing thread:
    http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=251971
Everything seemed successful, yet the search bar in the upper-right corner of Firefox (15.0.1) was still giving me Yahoo! as the default search engine even after deleting it. Also, spybot still detects 39 instances of malware related to Widgi.Toolbar.
So I used MGtools, Combofix and The Avenger. I use a combination of Firefox and Chrome to go online and never use IE.
Also, I tried deleting the executor file since there was no way to "uninstall" it and ran my usual defence; Spybot S&D, SpywareBlaster, CCleaner, Antivir and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware without success.

    Done.

    Done.

Done. It did give me a success message.

Please download ComboFix to your desktop. Turn off any AV software you have before you run it. Attach the log when finished. Do not do anything while it is running or it may stall the program.

Go to the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders
related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.

After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
