Need to upgrade ram and hard drive

I have a pentium 4, 2.4 ghz computer with 256 ram.

I would like to upgrade and need to know how much ram i can put in and how big a hard drive.

I ran Everest and this is the report on the motherboard.

if possible, can u try to look at how much each RAM slot can hold at max? usually its 512mb going by the system specs (seems kinda old-ish)

Adding more RAM will do wonders for ya, another 512mb or just buy 2 new 512mb sticks in a pair. Once we figure out the max RAm per slot i'll give you some links to some good but cheap ram

Your motherboard will hold at least 2Gb of RAM. 1 Gb in each slot:

You'll need PC3200 DDR RAM. It will clock down to your motherboard's PC2100 speed.

As for the hard drive, there is no limit.

 

if i were u, i would buy my motherboard....its a gigabyte basically new only 2 weeks old with pci express 16x 2 pci express and pci slot.6 sata 2 connectors and ill give u a raid controller and 2 250 harddrives seagate 7200 rpm,ata.3 video cards,and an intel p4 2.8 processor for like 200 bucks man u cant beat that.u just cant.

 

u gotta get ready for vista my board is vista ready it supports all intel chips p4,the duo chips,ur processor but ill be giving a 2.8 so that is much faster,6600gt,x700,2 harddrives with raidconroller so thats like 500 gbs.ahh hell i throw in a amd processor too 2800+ 64 bit.
