Need Updated USB Drivers

I have spent the last 6 hrs trying to find out where to get updated usb port drivers to get my webcam & digital camera to work with no sucess other than companies wanting money to use there software....is there a link to update drivers for window xp that doesn't cost anything like freeware or shareware?
The problem started when hooking up my Veo webcam and going to take a snapshot and getting this error message " Access violation at address 01893BOC in module 'CamCapEx.dll' Read of address 0000008" I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Veo softwear and checked to see if this dll was loaded and it was..the other problem was with my Digital camera, when hooking up to the USb port and turning on the camera it gave me a USB Error on the camera screen..
I am running Windows Xp SP3..Asus Motherboard A7...AMD Athlon XP 2.00GHZ...NVIDIA GEFORCE MX/MX 400...
The webcam is a Veo 640vs33xo and the digital camera is a HP Digital Camera CA340
Looking under hardware on my pc i have 1 via USB Enhanced Host controller.... 5 USB Root Hubs and 4 VIA Rev5 or later USB Universal Host Controllers listed and all of them when checked are enabled.

Sorry about the motherboard thing i thought i gave you the type and i see i did not it is an Asus A7V333.
i did what you said with the HP Digital Camera and now it works perfectly thank you very much.
Not so good with the web cam...there were no changes in usb devices.. i never had the digital camera hooked up with the webcam before because it is new and this was the first time i used it.. but the web cam was hooked up to my computer before..but was uninstalled when i had computer problems and just reinstalled it a few days ago.. the last time the camera was used i was running Windows 98..
when opening the softwear Veo Digital Studio the camera shows a picture of whatever you are pointing it at but when u want to take a snapshot i get an error message...the error message has changed from the other post it now reads "Access Violation at address 01633BOC in module 'CamCapEx.dll' Read of address 00000008.....which is a different address than before...
oh btw i did go to DriverGuide and download the lastest drivers.
