Need Urgent Help!

Hi,

I'm a average computer user, I know abit here and there.

My computer has lately been the victim of the "blue screen of death". I have contacted microsoft, they tried there best to help me and informed me that the hotfix for that problem was included in SP2 which I have.

Then, I slowly started checking my computer for viruses / spyware, and found quite afew, I used AVG Free and Adaware SE. Both updated.

And just today, I took my computer to my local computer store and asked them to check it out, they informed me I still had afew viruses on my computer which they fixed up I hope, and they told me that I needed to remove the following viruses/spyware/trojans off my computer -

Elitum.Elitebar
DyFuCA.InternetOptimizer
ISearchTech.SideFind
n-Case

Can someone please explain to me step by step how to remove these, I have tried using SpyBot S&D but it can't remove them, even at startup.

Go through all the steps, and if you have any problems as you go come back and post. Chaslang or one of our other experts will come help when they can.

 

Go thru the tutorial as tigerray suggested, also be sure and D/L this for the elite problem Elite Remover. The Elite Remover MUST be run in safe mode, run it 2-3 times. I believe there is a help text included in that file.
