    Hi there,

I had the same issue on my 1537.
I used drivers from 1525 and 'almost' all worked apart from the MIC on the IDT High Definition Audio - which I am still trying to resolve.
If there is a way to get the drivers to you - then I am happy to send them on to you - so you can try your luck.
In return you can update me on how the audio drivers work your end.

I really need an IDT Driver that enables my MIC to work fine - if anybody has them ?
    Is anyone running a 1537 spec laptop on XP SP3 ? Is SP3 a no no ?

    Lemme kno....

P.S. I can post an FTP url for you to get the drivers directly from an FTP site on this machine, if we cant find another way to get this working, but it means we both have to be online at the same time, which means agreeing on a time I guess.

    Hey there bstan.

That is symptom of the IDT drivers power management facility.

You can switch that of in the control panel, IDT Audio.

Also information about that little trinket came from here:
    Drivers for Studio 15 series | http://wickmanstudios.com/index2.php?option=com_content&do_pdf=1&id=17

You ought to keep an eye on that page as they update findings now and then.

Fingers crossed we will get to the bottom of XP on these systems eventually.

    Thanks for a prompt response.

P.S. I provided an Everest report, which will need moderation by MajorGeeks before its released into the forums.
