Needing Advice & Recommendation

Hello,
Can you please inform me as to which 'backup' software in your list on this site would be best suited for a novice when using this type of software?
I would prefer one that is automatic..not having to make alot of individual choices. Thank you for your time.

 

Most here use Acronis, user friendly but you still have to make choices and such. The help files are detailed and guide you through.

Acronis is excellent but it's not free and, if you merely want to back up files, you may want to try a freeware option, such as Cobian Backup, one of the programs listed at http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloads3.html. The Windows Backup utility is, in my opinion, another option if you just want to back up your files, rather than create a complete disk drive image as you can do with Acronis.
