ok.... so I'm not sure if my dvd burner just doesn't like these new DVD-Rs i bought or what.... cause i can still burn with my old DVD-RWs.... but anyways I'm using Nero 7 to burn some iso's (i was using Nero burning ROM with the UDF file system) and when i use these new dvd's i almost instantly get this error:

Could not perform start of Disc-at-once
    Burn process failed at 2.4x (3,324 KB/s)

not sure what the Disc-at-once thing is and how to turn it off if i can.....

early on in the error log i saw this:

    10:53:04 PM #4 Text 0 File Burncd.cpp, Line 3365
Turn on Disc-At-Once, using DVD media

Ya so other than my drive not liking these new DVDs i don't know whats up.... if it is just my drive not liking the DVDs please tell me there might be a way to force them to work.... i can provide the whole error log if anyone wants, thanks for any and all help in advance!!!!

It just might be the new blanks... sometimes, DVD burners don't like certain media... who knows why. You can disable Disc-At-Once by clicking on the More button at the bottom of your Nero project window and choose Configure. The setting is in there somewhere. I'm not sure what is causing your error, but I don't think that Disc-At-Once has anything to do with it.:( I'm not a fan of Nero7, I ditched my Nero 7 for Nero 6.6.1.19b. The options are easier to access and change and on the whole, it's easier to use (for me anyway). You can try using CD Burner XP Pro 3 or Final Burner, both are free burning programs, available for download in the BackUp section here at Major Geeks. Both will burn .iso's no problem, as will ImgBurn (also in the BackUp section, I think). Good Luck!

Have you tried updating the firmware for your DVD burner?

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your device. And look for the firmware update (assuming there is one) from their support section and follow their instructions to install the new firmware.

I've run across a few types of media that my drives don't like either. It sucks but nothing you can do.

I guess I have seen where someone ran a lens cleaning disc. And it allowed them to use a media that the drive didn't like before.
